Social Media Policy

Insight Mental Health, LLC and its providers do not communicate therapeutic information to clients through Social Media and related platforms. Social media is not a secure, HIPPA-compliant platform for the receipt or disbursement of confidential information. Social Media may include platforms such as but not limited to: FaceBook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Threads, TruthSocial, LinkedIn, etc. 

Insight Mental Health, LLC and its providers do not add clients as 'friends' 'connections' or otherwise on Social Media on professional nor personal accounts. 

Insight Mental Health, LLC may, for the purposes of business promotion and marketing maintain a professional Social Media presence (e.g., maintaining a FaceBook Page, etc.). This professional Social Media presence is separate and curated from Insight Mental Health, LLC's providers' personal Social Media presence, pages, and accounts.  Understand that if you elect to post on Insight Mental Health, LLC's professional Social Media pages (e.g. comments, responses, messages, etc.) doing so could reveal to others that you have a therapeutic relationship (if any) with one of the providers. Additionally, Insight Mental Health, LLC cannot control settings on your personal device, and often times, location information can be embedded within such comments further revealing potential therapeutic relationships.

Insight Mental Health, LLC does not, and will not conduct clinical services, nor appointment scheduling through Social Media posts, comments, messages or similar communications.  Additionally, in order to best protect your confidentiality, Insight Mental Health, LLC may elect not to respond to such messages or requests at all. Insight Mental Health, LLC 

Providers at Insight Mental Health, LLC maintain their own personal Social Media pages/accounts. These personal accounts are not reviewed nor controlled by Insight Mental Health, LLC. The content and posts on these personal accounts do not reflect the views or positions held by Insight Mental Health, LLC. Providers will not add or search for clients as friends on their personal accounts, nor will they respond to posts, comments, or messages that they received  in order to maintain client confidentiality and appropriate ethical boundaries.

Insight Mental Health, LLC and its Providers do not search for current or former clients or view client's Social Media pages except in very specific circumstances when specifically asked by the client as part of regular, necessary, and ethical provision of clinical services (e.g. review of a LinkedIn profile for Career Counseling interventions).

Insight Mental Health, LLC and its  Providers do not search for current or former clients on Google or similar search engines.
